I was just staring at my phone in amazement at the fact it is still at 79%. I took it off the charger at 8am, used it about every hour or so to check email, the status at the Masters, and made a few calls. It's now almost 7pm and I'm still at 79%.

Those who are having battery issues with the 04/03 release most likely have some app that is causing their issues. I was using OpenSignal, a cell tower tracking app, and found that even when just running in the background, it took me down to 30% in about 8 hours. Since I stopped it via the services menu, I'm getting extremely good battery life with this ROM.

One issue that has been mentioned in another thread is that the wifi can really drain the battery on CM7 04/03. I make sure I turn off wifi when I leave my house, and turn it back on when I get home.

i. Want. Gingerbread. Now!

THEN.BUY.A.PHONE.SUPPORTED.BY.THE.OFFICIAL.RELEASES.

Otherwise give these guys a chance to get things worked out. Just because CM7 official is out doesnt mean its stable on all phones and most definately isnt stable on our phone. There are still issues being worked out.

Have you tried changing your governor settings? I get my best results using ondemand but that seems to slow wake-up time. Interactive only gives me good batery life if I clock to 787 Max and 245 min. Also I set the display to 50% and never mess with it. But for whatever difference it may make I am always in a service area. And the 50% time without a signal has made a huge difference as well as getting a full charge and then wiping battery stats.

I'd really appreciate the help! Thank you!

1-- Make sure it was the recovery posted with this ROM, other recoveries might not work
ClockWorkMod Recovery v3.0.2.4

2-- Plug your phone into your computer via USB and enable USB mass storage
(this should make your phone act like a USB flash drive)

3-- Copy the CM7's ROM zip file to your sdcard, and copy the gapps.zip as well

4-- Use your computer to eject your phone's sdcard

5-- Turn off your phone

6-- Hold the following three keys down till the LG logo appears and goes away
Home+Down_Volume+Power

7-- If you flashed the appropriate recovery in ROMTools, you should now see
ClockWorkMod Recovery v3.0.2.4

Note-- The volume up/down buttons moves the selection box
The menu button activates the current selection
The back button takes you back one step in the menus

8-- VERY IMPORTANT STEP -- Select "backup and restore", then select "Backup"
this will create a complete backup of your phone in case you have problems

9-- From the main menu, select "wipe cache partition", then "Yes - Wipe Cache"

10-- From the main menu, select "advanced", then select "Wipe Dalvik Cache"

11-- From the main menu, select "advanced", then select "Wipe Battery Stats"

Note-- Some people like to format various mounts, I never have, not necessary, though you may want to reset to factory defaults

12-- From the main menu, select "install zip from sdcard",
then select "choose zip from sdcard",
then select the CM7 ROM's zip file, and install

13-- From the main menu, select "install zip from sdcard",
then select "choose zip from sdcard",
then select the gapps.zip file, and install

14-- Once it's done, from the main menu, select "reboot system now"

No messy ADB commands, just move a couple of files around using your computer, then reboot into recovery, wipe caches, install the zips, and reboot.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for this.... Quick questions (sorry if already posted)

Besides MMS issue (and Bluetooth) anything else I should know?
What is the advantage of this Rom over Rodimus, I know this is Gingerbread, but what is the advantage of having gingerbread??

I understand (if I am correct) battery life on Rodimus is better, how much better overall?
