I recently bought a Dedicated Server from OVH, i installed Ubunutu 10.04 LTS Server, i'm trying to set it up so that I could build IHO/CM9 from scratch.

I've built on a pre-set up pc before successfully but I'm having trouble setting up the server to build.

I'm on Windows XP using Putty and I can download the Android SDK but that's where i'm stuck. The Android SDK won't install using a Non-Gui server

This post by Jerryscript #3 is what I'm following, http://forums.androidcentral.com/optimus-v-rooting-roms-hacks/104423-building-your-own-rom.html#anb

I'd appreciate any help you guys could give me as I would love to give back to this great community by creating and refining CM7/9.

If it's important, my server has the following config
Processor Intel Core i3 2130 2x2(HT)x3.4+ GHz
Architecture 64 bits
RAM 16 GB DDR3
Hard disk 2x 1 TB - SATA2

Check out this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...uide-ubuntu-compiling-android-source.html#anb

I'd recommend a clean install of whatever your preferred version of Ubuntu is. I'm on 12.04, but it isn't officially supported for building. Just use a standard desktop edition.

Follow the entire first post, from there, the Building Your Own ROM thread in our section should help you out getting IHO built. (anything beyond the first post in the guide I linked is for building for the Galaxy Nexus, so it won't help you.)
