I'm a little confused by his video. So the model he is tearing down is the international model, and not the Unlocked US model?

In the US you have the snapdragon.

That's just one teardown, the two different cooling systems exists in both Exynos and SD versions depending on what production line they came from I guess.

Yeah I hear some have graphite cooling and others cooper cooling

Yes that's what I'm reading too.

It's not a Snapdragon / Exynos thing or a region thing is as you say a production line scenario.

I'm not seeing anything that would help to determine what type of cooling system is in a particular phone only that if it remains cool then it could be the copper cooling system.

I can't remember hearing about the Graphite type cooling before the Note 20 so I have no idea if it is supposed to be better or just cheaper or maybe there was just a supply problem with the copper cooling system.

Yeah not sure, I think graphite they testing see if its the future of cooling

Linus Tech did some testing and mentioned some uses for graphite, but it didn't look too good on his PC temps...
