May be contact them and say you wanted to order 45mm, they might ask you to return and give a coupon or something so that you can buy it. Worth a shot asking them.

It's certainly novel. I like how Nova handles it. My layout which I copied from my Note 20U slid right over and works for both screens without tinkering:

I always back up my layouts with Nova Prime. When the Fold 2 fired up Google asked me which device I wanted to restore from. I chose the latest device. That copies all my apps and most settings. I then go into Nova and tell it which icon pack layout I want to restore and that restores my desktop precisely. There may be other ways to do restores but that gives me the granularity I'm accustomed to.

As fold devices get cheaper which they will In time I expect it will be the case. They are going all in on the fold and even said to be bringing out a cheaper fold so it's clear its in their plans

According to some leakers the Note has been leaving us for years. Even if they get cheaper that doesn't mean they will eliminate their current flagship. That only works if a folding device becomes mainstream. We are not even close at this point.

Agree. As neat (and it IS neat) as the Fold 2 is it would need a lot before mainstream folks would be interested,

lower price
did I mention...lower price
lighter weight
the same durability as other current
flagships
flagship level cameras

The current device is a neat "This is what we can do today." kind-of-thing and it's easily good enough to be a usable product. It will be very interesting to see what Samsung and others do with this sector over the next few years.

Yes...it looks nice and I was almost onboard. There are a couple of things that still bug me including the hinge and the crease. I'll probably be in for Gen 3 or 4 but I don't think we will see a lower price by then.

I think Sammy will offer a couple of models simultaneously. I'm imagining a flagship level and something below it...like the Note 20. I used to wonder about the current strategy but it makes sense in a way. Bring more people into the Note universe with the lower priced Note 20 and when they're ready to upgrade many of them will opt for the higher priced flagship. I wonder if Sammy will do the same thing with the Fold.
