Bixby Routines

I haven't seen this mentioned but with the latest bixby routines you can set it up to switch between 1080/120 & 1440/60 now.

I had to update it in either the galaxy store or through the app itself when you hit the 3 dots in the top right

I just setup a bixby routine for it to play back youtube in 1440p when I open the app from the current display setting of FHD+ and 120hz. I updated bixby routines through the galaxy store also. I tested it out I open the YT app play a video I know can play back in 1440p and when I look at the video resolutions it maxed out at 1080p so this routine isn't working for me

I had that issue so I set bixby routine buttons to switch. Its a YouTube issue. You have to clear cache and data on YouTube for it to work when opening the YouTube app

I tried that still didn't work unfortunately

Are you on mobile data, or WiFi? Most carriers limit streams to 1080 or 720 depending on your plan. With At&t I can't stream 1440 if I wanted to unless I'm on WiFi.

I have Verizon and the highest plan they offer and I'm on wifi

Not sure about everyone else but my bixby routines work very inconsistently.

They are almost not worth even having since half the time they dont work right.

If you set a routine up then when it activates you decide to alter a setting within that routine then it keeps the setting you choose, until it activates next time ( that sounds confusing)
So let's say at 9pm you set a routine to lower your screen brightness to 10% then once 9pm passes and your screen is at 10% you decide you want it brighter and set it to 20% it will stay on what you set 20% (override) if that makes sense.
