Just got in the commuter case today from Otterbox. First case I felt safe putting the Note 4 into (nice soft rubber = no scratch on shiny edges).

A uni-dimensional case (no extended bumpers or hourglass shaping does have some appeal I think. Probably an easier fit for the various mobile mounts people might use for one thing. If this commuter holds its shape to the phone which from what I read was the most oft mentioned criticism of the Commuter for the N3, then Otterbox might just have a decent case here.

I do like that there are no outstanding features of shape or corner bumpers on the commuter. If mobile mounting in a case that does have those features, like my Thor becomes problematic, I might get a commuter as well. The edge is beveled at least. If they carried the max thickness all the way out to the edge it would really seem like a thick case I think. I also like that the edge has got some grip features. I fail to understand why some of these manufacturers just texture the back and give you nothing along the sides. I don't grip my case by the back. I can see where texture there might keep it on a table better....that is not my primary drop circumstance. Directly out of my hand is far and away my most common drop circumstance.

Just got my Otterbox Commuter case in the mail. Got a rose/light blue one. For the price of the basic black the ATT guy wanted to sell me, I got one in customized colors, direct from otterbox.

Got in the black Symmetry case today and it's as hard to install and remove the phone from as the UAG.

I'll stick with the soft and gentle Commuter Case.

I have to say that OtterBox really rocked it with their Note 4 Commuter case. I love how the Admiral Blue/ Deep Water looks. Really thinking to order this one. Anyone has real life photos of this case?
