You'll want one that allows access to the secured element for tap to pay if you don't already have one. The one that comes in the box does that.

I would recommend using the SIM that is comes with since it is ISIS Ready. For T-Mobile I simply went to the site on the SIM card instructions and entered the new SIM number, popped it in my phone, had LTE within 30 seconds and I have been good since! :).
