touching(not pressing) the home button can make the drop-down notification menu go away?

I'm wondering if this is a few feature for the Note5 because my old Note 2/3/4 don't do this.

I swipe down from the top of the screen to display the notification menu.

If I touch the home button, the menu goes away. (without actually pressing down on the button) The amount of force for the touch is about the same as what I use to let it scan my fingerprint to unlock. (although I've never set up the phone to use fingerprints) This is happening on my other two Note5 phones, so I guess this is normal?

Thanks!

I tried this with both the S-Pen and the tip of my finger... notification area stayed visible.

More than likely your finger is overlapping the button and touching the screen, which would do what you're describing.

Yeah tried it as well. Does not close notification when touching the home button.

I agree you are more then likely coming in contact with the screen as well.

Yup, you are touching the screen with your finger.

I tried just touching the scanner and that didn't close the notification shade.
