I stumbled on this looking for a short cut menu. Anyone know about his? I've never heard of this...
==============

Google includes a secret menu for power users to fine tune their experience. One of the things you can do in the secret menu is speed up the phone. We’ll teach you the secret password.

Go to*Settings*>*About device
Find Build number and tap it more than 7 times in quick succession

A notification will tell you when Developer options have been unlocked

Now, go back to Settings and find*Developer options

Scroll down to Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale

Adjust them all to the speed of your liking

The default speed is 1X, so anything lower than that will feel slower. You could even disable animations altogether.

Some ppl swear it makes the phone seem faster but I never noticed a difference when I tried it.

It absolutely makes the page transitions instantaneous versus fade in/out.

Change the following from 1x to off:

Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator duration scale

I like the page transitions. I paid enough for this phone and it has the hardware to run them. Why disable them and miss out on the nice effects? I keep mine on default. Go go hardware Note 5!

The fade in and out is there to take up the space created by the slight delay opening an app. Nothing is instantaneous so it takes a split second for your phone to open an app. Setting a zero transition makes the delay visible. It does not make your phone faster. These transitions have nothing to do with the speed of your phone. They are effects.
