September can't get here fast enough!

My phone every so often makes this weird sound(notification).Then the screen comes on, goes black with a tiny x on the bottom left of the screen. It stays this way for about 3 seconds and then goes back to the lock screen. Sometimes it will bring up the Samsung VR and want me to stay out. I never have used it. I can go to settings and force stop it but it starts back on its own. Just can't figure out what is causing it. Any ideas?

When did it start?
Did you install any app, at that time?

Started about a month ago. I'll do some checking. Could have been an update that started it. Going to be hard to pin point.

Might want to try the dreaded factory reset. Or at minimum a cache wipe/deletion in program mode

I'm guessing it's an app as well.

Check reviews on the recent updated apps. Some post a new review that it's doing that to their phone.

Then maybe uninstall and reinstall until you find the culprit. Or just reset.
