Will the replacement Note 7's in the US have this new "Green" battery icon?

I just got my replacement today and I don't see a green battery... ? I am in Canada though, it might different here?

Nevermind, read it is in a software update, haven't updated yet.

You may be able to get rid of the green icon with an Odin flash of older firmware. Don't know if Samsung has it rigged up that it'll update automatically again.

Here you guys go. Won't come on the phone out the box but there will be a software update on the 21st of September or shortly after. I'm curious has anyone checked there Note 7 and wasn't affected by this battery issue? Samsung most likely figured a sealed back on the phone people won't recognize the cheaper **** batteries installed in the phone. $800 for a brand new phone and this crap happens!

Got my replacement today (US - AT&T). No green battery. I checked for an update and there was none. Only a black square on the box label. Mfr date of 9/12/16 in Korea. If a green icon will get me on a plane, I'll live with it. I have a lot of travel coming up soon.

Seriously! I haven't seen a green battery icon, but then again, I haven't seen a UFO either. Doesn't mean that either one does not exist, I suppose.

Maybe just me, but i hate the old Touchwiz "green". I was really happy that Note 7's new OS has ditch that colour.

Mine updated this morning, green battery with September security patch.

Although its a hardware problem changing to green doesn't mean much if it will explos it will with or without.

Welp, all it's going to take is some tech savvy ******* to ruin it for all of us.

System icon colors can be changed pretty easily on some ROMs; this is not a well thought out solution imo.

Yeah no update yet for me either (AT&T); just checked manually. It'll show up when it shows up. I avoid flying like the plague anyway. But I also ran my IMEI through Samsung's checker page and did a screen grab of the result just in case somebody wants to be a jerk about it.

I just did an update and noticed that I now have the Green indicator on top.
