Here are a couple shots from the Sony a6300 mirrorless camera. Shot with an f1.4 "prime" lens. This folks, is how bokeh/portrait photos are done naturally!

It makes you wonder if the f stop number in phone cameras are really what they claim.

Remember also, that most cell cameras have a relatively wide lens (26mm ~ 28mm lens) and have a greater DOF then a longer lens. Even a 50mm lens on your A6300 camera is a 75mm equiv and as such has a much more shallow DOF.

Ok guys i need some thoughts on an experiment I'm trying to run.

Here's the situation: say you are out in daylight and want to take a nice blurred photo of running water. You lower the shutter speed to 2 seconds. Lower the ISO to 50. Since our phones have fixed aperture we cannot increase the fstop so the photo is always going to be terribly over exposed.

...

Any thoughts on what we can do in these situations? Continue to stack more ND filters?? Buy a DSLR with adjustable f-stop? Lol

You can also use burst mode to rapid fire and load as a stack in Photoshop and have Photoshop merge the stack into a single image. Here is one I did earlier, handheld, and in bright sunlight. (Using a tripod would have yielded a better result).

Couple of Dusk shots taken at end of my street.

First one shows one of my dad's work boats

Second one shows Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh 9 miles in the distance. An extinct volcano.
