Good question. I managed a 1 second shot to smooth some waves recently as it was taken at near dark.

What filters are you using mate?

On my Canon DSLR I would use a Lee Big Stopper 10 Stop with the below crib sheet.

I was using "altura" 52mm filters. They screw on to each other - 2, 4 and 8. They came in the bag with the Sony a6300 that my friend loaned me.

I just ordered a 52mm 10 stop filter, a clip-on adjustable 37mm filter and a 37 to 52 adapter. This guy does a good review of long exposure photography on android and what you need:

Great pictures. The 1.4 prime is awesome. The top picture shows what optics can achieve. Although it also shows how impressive phone processing power is.

Laterally I only shot with primes on my Canon. ( Pretty much just used my 1.8 "nifty fifty" 50mm which punched way above its weight )
