I'm finding I like the look way better all day. Maybe it's because my them is black and white including my icons

That was the first feature I activated when I got Android Pie One UI. It's on 24/7.

There are Substratum themes that work with Pie. I'm using aospUI Black with Substratum and Andromeda. If it's not supposed to work then I got lucky.

Yes dark mode always ,except in direct sunlight. Then I find day mode more visible. Get outside & get happy

I do... I just wish it made my Google Calendar widget black. Glaring white calendar widget gives me a headache but I use reminders and Samsung nice black calendar widget only lists events.

I used it in the beginning but tried a dark theme and it darkened more than dark mode did. I'd prefer dark over white for everything.

I do too but I seldom like dark themes because they remove color. I like colors but I don't like anything white that takes up a lot of screen space. I like white text on black background but I don't want all my icons to turn gray.

i keep mine on dark mode. i wish google chrome had a night mode option like twitter and other apps do, i have tried to use the Samsung internet app that comes with samsung phones since it uses the dark mode, but i just don't like it as well as chrome.
