Pixel 3 is better at this because Google's software cranks the ISO way higher than Samsung and has faster shutter speeds as a result. I have the port of it on my phone and it also results in much more noise in the photos, though Samsung is definitely more aggressive with removing noise at the same time.

So basically, it comes down to the software.

My exact issue! Why did they remove the action/sports mode?!! So irritating. I was happy with my purchase until Samsung removed it.

I wish I got the Pixel now. I have tried a friends and I think the pictures are definitely better!

I had a pixel 3XL.
Wasn't happy with it.

My wife has had a note 9 for over a yr.
She has never had a blurry picture.

Did you ever pull the piece of plastic off the lens.
It's super hard to get ahold of to get off too.

If I had a problem with a phone.
I'd carry it bv to a corporate store and tell them the problem.

I have a note 10+
Takes great pictures.

Have you been to bv a corporate carrier ?

The plastic is very, very hard to get off

I had 2 S8+ phones
Didn't have any problems with either.

One of my brother in laws has a S8+.
He really likee the S8+.

Traded the pixel 3 XL in on a note 10 +

Gave the other to my sister in law.
Don't remember what I did with.the other S8+.

The carrier would be your best bet.

I had to take a exacto knife to get the plastic off my camera lens if I remember right.

Why does my phone camera take blurry pictures?

You can try clearing the cache of your camera app. Go into system settings > applications > sort by all > camera. Clear the cache for the camera. This frees up memory and may clear some type of issue that was causing your phone to take blurred pics.

When was the last time you deleted the activity and history on your phone also ?

When was the last time you did a update and you was connected to the internet ?

The s9 and note 9 some experience problem where the camera module had to be replaced, some fixed it by giving a good slap to the back of the device others replaced it .

Edit: something about the OIS (optical image stabilization) getting stuck .

no rattling no buzzing ois is working just fine camera is working fine camera app is working fine the phone is working fine.
it just doesn't have a good camera
I came from a galxy s7 edge i had it forever when it was finally time to upgrade i got my self and wife a galaxy note 9
wanted a note 10 but 1700x2 is crazy so I got the note 9 on sale for 800x2 I was so excited it had good reviews on the camera as soon as I got it had to try the camera out I was so disappointed I didn't see any difference from my galaxy s7 edge
I didn't feel or have the same reaction I did when I saw my brother's pixel 3xl or even my friends iPhone
to me it didn't feel like an upgrade in the camera department

Funny how everyone is mentioning the plastic covering as I don't recall removing it but my pics aren't all that bad. I do occassionally get the lens may be dirty message, perhaps it has always been there. Time to invest 10 minutes to investigate...

People that is having problems.
I wonder if their phones had been dropped very much.
Or if they flex them too much carrying them in their back pocket.
Or if they let their young kids play with these phones.
