Google Messages One UI Update

I have beta on so maybe that is why I got it.

I'm on beta and haven't gotten it yet. There is some server side changes involved as well as usual. Nothing from Google will be without server side flip

Has anyone in the US gotten the One UI version organically without having to leave beta and download the APK? I really like the One UI version.

Sorry, I meant I got "a" update after I manually installed the one ui messages update. That update killed the One UI update, so left beta and reinstalled the one ui messages version.

Does the one ui update include message groups as well. That is the reason I am sticking with stock. I have all my work contacts in a group that makes it so much easier to find and text them.

That is for group messaging.

Samsung app has categories in which you can add specific contacts to.

Yes, someone figured that out earlier. You have to leave the beta or you will be updated to a version without one UI.

I couldn't even install Google Messages on my new S21 from the Play Store until I left the beta program (which I had to do on my old phone).

I'm obviously alone here, but I preferred Samsung messages. Unfortunately it's greyed out if you try to make it the default

Mine will let me change Samsung Messages to default.
