Google Messages One UI Update

Yes..I get to that where I select Samsung messages as default.. But when I go back to the app..it just asked me over and over to select the default app, and I can only continue if I select either Google messages or messenger as default. I followed a YouTube video and deleted data and everything. Just won't let me do it. It's no biggie. Just a bit annoying lol. Thanks guys x

No worries lol
Have you tried rebooting the phone?

I got the update and it broke it , so i downloaded this version on APK website its the latest for Samsung, dont forget to use the APK installer.

I got the unwanted update as well. I was going to hold off on updating but since you linked the fix above, I just did that. This is beta apparently. I wonder if it would be part of the normal beta program? Anyway, I think the update which breaks the original One UI look is because of this?

Good question , I'm not sure could be but good thing is we can manually update to latest .
The 7.9 version wasn't beta and updating broke it so looks like manually for now .
