Is it possible to buy an unlocked one that can be used on either AT&T or Verizon? I want to buy one without the AT&T/Verizon logo on it and be able to use it with both providers. I have accounts on both lines.

They use two different radio technologies, so no. If you do get a GSM one, it can be used on GSM carriers--which Verizon is not.
