Hello,
I'm a former iPhone user (since the first iPhone) and recently switched to the GS3 and am loving it.
I noticed that after 5 minutes of use, my phone would get uncomfortable warm in the lower half of the phone. I downloaded tempmonitor from the play store and noticed my cpu temp got over 50 degrees C at the hottest. I returned the phone and got another S3 but have noticed that the phone feels even hotter in my hand but this one only gets up to 48 degrees C or so. Is this normal for Android smartphones? I assume after I get a case, this won't matter as long as it's normal.
The phone has not automatically shut off from high temps.
My specs are as follows:
Samsung-SGH-I747
Android 4.0.4
Just updated to the latest Kernel version (out July 4th)
I have a US AT&T phone and don't have a case.
