For the last few days I've been having issues with charging my Samsung Galaxy S3, however today the problem has got worse. The phone will not charge or maintain charge at all.

When plugged into the AC charger it usually takes several attempts of unplugging/plugging in to get the phone to start gaining charge at all. The phone occasionally charges to a certain point, but then begins to discharge again whilst still plugged in, still discharging itself even when not being used. I've tried switching the phone off completely whilst plugged in and the charge still reduced or charged incredibly slowly. When unplugged from the charger the battery charge depletes extremely fast (around 10% in 5 minutes)

The phone still shows that it is plugged in and being charged, however the battery charge is constantly dropping no matter what I do, rendering my phone pretty much unusable.

It can be caused two things
1. micro USB input is damaged, need to be fixed.
2. USB charging cable can be damaged or loose, try someone else's cable or buy a new
