New to being rooted and super confused l720t

Okay so I rooted my s4 so i could uninstall all those annoying preinstalled apps and now that i've done that I started looking into what other types of things i can do with it. I've been looking into ROMs and stuff and I have no idea how to pick one. i really want to customize my phone to the max but trying to take all this in is giving me a headache. I'm new to all this and want to learn everything i can but it's a lot to take in. Any suggestions?​
