Call earpiece volume keeps going down

Does anybody know how to set the earpiece volume for a call at maximum constantly. Everytime I make a call, the earpiece volume keeps defaulting to mid way. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it adjusts the volume to whatever you have on the home screen etc. Have you tried going into the Settings>My Device>Sounds>Volume to adjust the sliders?

My GS4 is the Sprint version and it definitely doesn't have a volume setting just for the earpiece.
