After some research, I'm still left with one big problem with Lollipop.
If I have a text message string open, but receive a text message from the same person, I don't get any sort of notification, sound vibration or otherwise, that I've gotten a new one. Even if I lock the screen, there's no new alerts, and this causes me to miss messages since I don't know I've received them.
Kitkat never gave me this problem, is it possible to re-enable notifications if I get a text from the same person while viewing their earlier messages? If I can just get this working, I can deal with Lollipop.
