Why has my camera album vanished?

Galaxy s4 camera photos deleted how do I get them back

Use a file manager (My Files will work) and look for DCIM in All/Device storage. If you find it, tap it and you should see Camera. Tap that and you should see the files for your pictures. (Turning the phone off, then on, or running an app like media.Re.Scan, should bring them back to Gallery, Photos and apps like that - which look in the media scanner database for files to show.)

If they're gone, there are apps that will recover them, like DiskDigger undelete (root), but you have to root the phone. Installing the app and rooting the phone could overwrite some of the pictures. (Which is why anything important should be backed up at least to a computer [if you have one] and a cloud account or two.)
