Hi! I'm buying the galaxy s5 tomorrow and unsure which card to buy. Do I need to buy the higher transfer rate cards for the S5?

I would just make sure it is name brand (not ebay knockoff) and personally would only get (at least) Class 10 for the speed.

May as well go for it... The S5 will handle 128gb. I hear bigger is still better.

I got a 32gb SanDisk extreme plus from Amazon earlier this week when they were price matching best buy's extreme for $25. Almost got the 64gb for $50 but I don't see myself using all the storage.

128 GB micro SD are still a big premium vs. 32/64. 64 has been as low as $29 and $15 for 32. 128s are still near 100.

Get what you need. If 64gb is enough then just get it.

i wonder why Samsung's PRO line of micro SDXC cards aren't mentioned here?

this "PRO" line has a claimed 70MB/sec read and 20MB/sec write speed. afterall, Samsung's own top-of-the-line "PRO" cards can't be bad, right? at the very worst, it would be comparable to the Sandisk Extreme line which has the same claimed speeds.

Has anyone checked out the Amazon Gold Box Deal of Micro SD cards today? There is a 32 and a 64. Wondering if the 64 is a good deal for my S5. Any opinions?

I want a 32 gb Samsung sold by Amazon but I'm having trouble finding one. Don't know if I should try a SanDisk one, just won't want to run into issues with a non samsung. But a 64gb sandisk has worked fine on my tab 3 still.

15$ for a 32gig class 10?
That cant be right.

And yes, for a galaxy S5 you need class 10 or ultra. I just hate when those pic thumbnails take couple of seconds to preview :/
