S5 Chrome text memory problem

I know how to clear my history in google Chrome (click the three dots, click history, click clear browsing data, specify data to clear and include autofill data), but even after doing that, and even in incognito mode, my history still remembers the websites I've visited and autofills with the first letter (i.e. if I click e, then it autofills in spite of my "clear history"). Any advice is appreciated. It's been a very bad week and this little problem is starting to feel more and more like salt and spit in the wounds. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you go to the App Manager, select Chrome, and Clear Cache/Clear Data?

The other thing to consider is going to Chrome on your computer and making sure everything is cleared there from the beginning of time, since your device's Chrome will sync with your desktop Chrome browser.
