Micro SD card for mobile Phone

i d like to but Samsung Galaxy S5.

After some research ive found that if i buy a 16 gb model and then a 16 gb or 32 gb Micro SD ill save nearly $80 on the csot of a 32 gb S5

Are there any disadvantages of doing this ...

What is the best make / type of Micro SD to buy { Samsung ?}

Many thanks

Welcome to Android Central!

I have always purchased SanDisk cards and never had an issue with them. Just make sure you get a class 10. Samsung makes some good ones as well.

Not all apps can run from the SD card, all apps that can run on your phone can run from internal storage. That's about the only disadvantage.

Samsung and SanDisk are the only companies that manufacture the chips used in the cards, but if you ever have to deal with the company, you'll be glad if you bought a SanDisk. Even getting a bad card replaced is just filling out a form on their site. Email a question and they get back to you quickly. Or you can do a live chat. Great company. (No, I don't work for them - but they're the only cards I buy. I have some that are over a decade old that still work. [They're too small to be really useful, but I like a product that still works when time passes it by.] In fact, the only "bad" SanDisk card I've ever had is the one I broke with my clumsiness. It still works, but it's cracked.)
