Phone. keypad. press a # for extension not working.

When calling somewhere and you need to press a 1,2,3 etc. for an extension. Mine is not working. Do you need to have to have keypad tones activated in settings for this? Any other way to do it so not to have the sound audible?
Tmobile. 900V s5.

Open the Phone app, tap Menu/More>Settings>Call Settings, and look for a DTMF option. Make sure it's turned on, and set it to Long.

I set it to long and turned off keypad sounds again.
