Why does my locations shut off on its own?

My locations will be switched off on it's own. I don't go into my settings and swipe it off. Why does this happen? Is it connected with apps or location requests? Also, I notice that my location history will be inaccurate. It'll bounce around, or have me across the street or a couple buildings down or off the freeway when i'm on the freeway. What affects this and how can i fix this?

Check your location settings and make sure you have it set to "high accuracy". If you're using "power saving", then your phone is only getting location data from local WiFi and cell towers and WILL bounce around. If you're always outside, then switch to "GPS Only".

High accuracy is preferred because it will use GPS outside, and mobile inside when you can't get line of sight to the GPS satellites.
