Hi peeps,

I need to send my phone to Samsung to resolve this signal issue. My question, as I am new to android, is how to revert phone back before sending and what do I need to do now to get all my settings, apps, and messages back. Any suggestions would be great.

There is no system wide backup option available on Android, unfortunately. At best, you can use something like Google+ Photos or Dropbox to backup your photos/videos. Your contacts should be saved to your Google account already.
You can use this for SMS backup: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...id=com.zegoggles.smssync&hl=en&token=RhheBRnB
The only thing you'll be missing is app data, which will vary depending on app, but some do have cloud backups where simply signing back in will restore it

I can't get kies to work, it keep telling me to use smart switch but I don't want to transfer to another phone just backup. Am I doing something wrong.....tried kies and kies3

The S6 does not work with Kies. Smart Switch is pretty much Kies and can back up the phone and do updates and all that. Not sure why they did that, or at least named it the way they did but meh, it'll back up the phone.
