Switched from iPhone, now I can't receive group messages. What can I do to fix this?

Switched from iPhone, now I can't receive group messages

I had an iPhone 5 and dumped it to hop on the S6 train. However, I was receiving group messages from other iPhone users on iMessage prior. I disabled iMessage before I switched, had AT&T update the system and I still can't receive group messages and images from other iPhone users. Advice?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you completely deactivate your iMessage? Do you still use it on an iPad, for example?

You may have to call Apple support, and ask them to make sure your number has been completely removed from their iMessage servers: Issues with texts after moving to Android from iPhone? Here's an easy fix! | Android Central
