I found a lot of apps for backing up contacts, photos, messages, etc. What I am really looking for is something that will backup any file from any location to a Google Drive or One Drive account. I don't care about the pics because Google already does that as well as the contacts. But I have a few apps that I don't want to lose the data files. I am looking for something where you can just do an automatic schedule to backup certain files to the cloud.

The paid version of Helium Backup will let you back application data up to your drive account. It works quite well. You can set up a schedule as well, though I haven't done that yet. I have used it for backing app data up and transferring to new phones though and it does work very well. I thought I read somewhere that with Marshmallow, you are able to do this to Google Drive anyway. So going forward, we shouldn't need any third party apps.
