Galaxy s7 edge not notifying me whenever i get a text message. HELP

My galaxy s7 edge is not making any sounds or vibrating only whenever i get a text message, i already checked the volumes, its not on 'Do not disturb' mode either. PLEASE HELP

After making sure your notifications are set up correctly, did you clear the texting apps cache?

Make sure your texting app isn't set to "on" in the two battery-saving areas in Settings. I have two e-mail apps that weren't notifying me until I opened them, then they would notify me the rest of the day, but the next day it would be back to not notifying me again. I had one set to "off" in one battery-saving area (the other, GMail, isn't listed in that area), but didn't know about the second area until I read a thread on here about it. I am hoping it will fix my problem.
