Title says it all. Phone info in attached pictures. Have had the phone for a couple years now. To the problem:

Phone started acting weird, so I did a factory reset, wiped media partition cache multiple times to be sure. Mounted \system and rebooted. Worked fine for a couple days, then WHILE USING THE PHONE, the screen when ultrabright. Swiped down, and Outdoor mode was on, and auto brightness is gone. I can literally find only 1 post on the web about this. Some sort of residual code from the S6 models. Everyone says to factory wipe but I don't want to be doing this every couple days.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

*Should mention that since getting the phone, this is the first real problem I've experienced.

Hi,
I like to know a little more about your issue with auto brightness and out door mode?

Sure, ask away, though I don't know what other information might help. Included phone info here.

The area circled in the picture below USED to be Auto Brightness (On/Off), but that's gone, and it's been replaced with Outdoor Mode (On/Off).

Outdoor mode was a feature of the Galaxy S6 EDGE and Edge+, from what I gather.

My only idea is that the S7 firmware was written overtop of the S6 firmware using it as a base, instead of a fresh write, and the Outdoor Mode was hidden, but not removed.

This Outdoor Mode occupies the same feature base as Auto Brightness, and apparently has a bug that swaps them out.

I'm looking for a way to swap them back/get rid of Outdoor Mode ALTOGETHER, and return my Auto Brightness option to me.
