AC Question

I've seen another post like this. Settings / Display / Screen Timeout . No matter what I select, it times out at 15 seconds. Example, If I select 1 minute and tap my selection, it states the screen will time out at 15 seconds. First, the screen dims at about 13 seconds, then it locks. Very frustrating, so much I'd return it if I can't fix this.

Mine also. I didn't realize it changed back to 15 seconds when it was docked until now. Very frustrating.

Welcome to Android Central! Any power saving modes turned on?

I have a similar problem where I set mine to 2 minutes and it reverts back to 5 seconds. Doesn't do it all the time but really annoying. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did you come up with a solution for this? Mine does the same thing & no one's been able to help me figure out what to do. I usually set mine to 30 seconds or 1 minute, but several times a day it changes back to 5 seconds. Super frustrating!!!

I think I solved it, this happened a couple of times to me and I solved in different ways. The first thing I did was go to settings and search "Phone Administrators" and switched everything off, went to switch my timeout setting to 10 minutes and It stayed. About a couple if months later it happened again and that method didn't work, so I switched my phone to safe mode ( you can do this by holding the power button down and holding 'Power off' for a second there should be a pop up saying 'Reboot to Safe mode' and press restart.) Once the phone restarts go to settings and set the desired timeout setting and do a normal reboot and the setting should stay. I hope this helps!
