How can I extend the battery life of my S7?

If you have the Facebook app installed on your phone, then uninstall it and that will increase your battery life a good bit. That app is a known battery hog!

Also set location to wifi/cell signal only or completely off instead of GPS (helps a bit, but if you lose your phone you won't be able to track it so it's up to you to decide which is more important).
I keep mine on wifi as my phone stays within my reach.
Keeping your screen brightness within a reasonable amount also helps versus having it at full blast when it's not needed.

Go to settings/applications/google/location/, then click "Google location history" and turn it off.
