Hello,
I am on my first Samsung. I previously had an HTC One m8. It had a great feature where I could move messages (or threads) to a secure message box to save them or keep them private. It required a password to log in.

Is there a similar feature for the S7? I'm struggling to find anything similar but it seems so obvious.

On my S6 (VZ) I just leave the messages in the VZ app. Long press on a message itself offers a number of options, including "lock" and "copy". I use Evernote for notes (create, capture, tag, search...) but you could store stuff in Dropbox or Box or Google Docs (among others). If you leave your locked messages in the messaging app, just lock the phone itself (I use the dots oattern). HTH. YMMV.
