Faulty touchscreen?

So got myself a S7 back at the start of August. The phone been working awesome but since maybe mid September there are at times I get no response when I touch the screen. There are times I have to press the same icon 5-6 times for it register. Then playing games has become almost impossible to play due to this. It's getting frustrating. This is one reason why I didn't want to get another Samsung phone as I've had the same issues with the Galaxy, S2 and S3. But since the M10 was a Bell exclusive phone, I didn't go with that. So it is possibly my touch screen is faulty or is there a sensitivity setting to increase?
