Can't download ringtone

[Android Central Question]

I want to download a ringtone onto my S7 but everytime I click on "Add from phone" and it asks me to select an account. When I do that it takes me to a load of pics etc that I didn't even know where there but no music. Where am I going wrong ?

Welcome to the forums. What app are you trying to use to download ringtones?

I'm not using an App. I just go to Settings/Sounds & vibrations/Ringtone/Add from Phone and then it asks me to select an account (a gmail account) when I select one and click on OK it just brings up all the pics etc that I mentioned earlier

Do you have any options other than add? If you tap on the current ringtone does it give you a list of options?

No ! There's just a list of the built in ring tones and then the "Add from phone" option at the bottom. Nothing happens when I click on (or hold down) the current ring tone
