Verizon Galaxy S8 Samsung Pay not an option in "Tap and Pay"

hi all-
Mostly loving my new S8+; however, Android Pay is the only option under Tap and Pay and I want Samsung Pay.

A few notes:

• Yes, I already have Samsung Pay installed
• No, it's not listed in the default mobile payment service section OR on the "Others" tab
• The app itself isn't working properly either. I cant get past the first screen with "START" now that I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. BUT even when I could, this tap and pay piece still didn't work.

Any suggestions other than factory reset? I'm just not willing to go through all this setup again.

That's odd. I didn't have to even go I to Tap n Pay. It does need installed and I think it took awhile for mine to load. Do you also have a pending software update perhaps? Google Play Services may also need updated
