S8 plus screen rotation

When I turn on screen rotation on my S8 plus my home screen rotates as well which didn't happen on my note 4. How can I stop this from happening?
Also I write a lot of generic emails and texts and my old note 4 would predict the next word I would say which made messaging much quicker. To do this I had to go into language and input, then predictive text, then go to personalisation and select 'Learn from Messages' but I can't find this option now on my new phone. Any idea? ☺

Weird it didn't do that on the note 4 and I've just dragged down from the menu on the homepage and there is no option to switch on or off rotate screen. Any ideas?

Upper right hand corner. "Auto rotate"
This shows it enabled.
Tap it to lock.

Ignore that last message, it's now titled portrait on this phone and when you press it it changes to auto rotate, woops! Any idea with my other issue with the predicted text?
