Charging stops at 99%, after 3 seconds carries on charging?

Hi guys, got my S8+ 2 days ago. Phone works fine but when I charge it I've noticed/heard the notification, of when you plug in the charger, go off. When I've checked the Phone, when its happened, it's at 99% and then proceeds to 100%.... its happened every single time ive charged the phkne. Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same issue?

It's just alerting you that the battery is full.

Yep. You can turn that off in settings if you wish.

But it's still at 99% when I hear the notification... my Note 4 and S7 edge never did that, reached 100% and the light went green... on my S8 + it's still red when the notification sounds...

But you said in your OP that it then turns to 100%. I would assume there's a small lag between what triggers the notification and what controls the LED.

Sorry I should have worded it differently, I meant to say that when this happens, it eventually charges up to 100% but takes a further 5-10mins to do so
