Smart switch adapter?

I used the adapter to move everything from my old phone, and it worked perfectly. Anyone know if it does anything else? Can I plug other stuff into it, then into my phone? Is there a setting I need to change to make that work?

It's an OTG adapter, so yeah! You can use it to plug USB devices with generic drivers (mouse, keyboard, flash drives, etc.)! No setting needed, just plug and play.

If the device you want to plug in needs a special driver, however, you'll need an app from the manufacturer to make it work (if there's no app, there's no driver for Android). Also devices that need powered-USB ports might not work as your phone cannot output the required voltage/current.
