Strange issue with fingerprint sensor on two different SIM cards

Hi and thanks for responding.

I'm having a strange issue with the fingerprint sensor that I cannot figure out. I have a Verizon S8+ that is active on my AT&T account. Everything works fine except I cannot unlock the phone with the fingerprint sensor. The odd thing is if I insert my a Verizon SIM card into the phone then the fingerprint sensor works perfectly. Taking out the SIM, insert the AT&T, the phone reboots as it should. However, the fingerprint stops working if I try to unlock it.

It works fine if I enable to use it to swipe down the notification shade; however, I always keep that turned off. I have tried factory reset, wiping cache, deleting the fingerprint and adding it again, but no luck. It will only work when inserting the Verizon sim card.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I know the sensor works because I can use it from swiping down the shade. However, I always keep that option disabled and it's never used. I only enabled quickly today to test.
