Where the heck is our update. Sheesh. They were originally supposed to roll it out in Jan or Feb of this year, but that time has come and gone. Anyone attending WMC hear or see anything about a release date yet?

I agree, I have lollipop on a att note 3. So in my case that means att beat Samsung to releasing software and that is saying allot! I am very disappointed with Samsung and their tab pro update timeline.

fwhivan...where did you hear that this tablet was supposed to get lollipop in Jan or Feb? Can you post a Samsung link to that?

Yeah, let me see if the article is still available. Give me a few minutes.

It won't let me post the url for the webpage. Grrrr.

If you go to google and search for (Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 Lollipop update schedule) you will find a link to an article by (the android soul) that lists the Samsung tablets and dates for the upgrade, there were 1 or 2 others that had the same info as well as Sammobile.

Those links are not official Samsung sites. Nothing about our tablet on one link and just guesses on the other.

You won't find official Samsung links as they don't ever tell anyone when any updates are coming out, but the sites i have found are pretty reliable for information. Samsung doesn't even announce when new firmware are available even when Sammobile has them available for download. The links i use and posted are about as close to official as you are going to get. Sorry. :(

I did too. Strange changes. What is that movable circle with the 3 little circles inside it. Its on every screen

Just noticed it came out yesterday, will be updating tomorrow. Even though they said it was for the UK they did say it will work for any region so i guess we are good to go. Yay!!

All Samsung tablets are the same one regardless region, Wifi only, the only difference is firmware customized for certain region.
The UK version has more languages than US one, simply it's for Europe region which has more different languages than North America.

Which means i will have to flash it manually rather than OTA, never done that before but i have the instructions bookmarked and have read through the procedure quite a few times so i'm optimistic. Guess it is flash time in the next few days when i get time.

Be aware that flashing an UK version, your tablet become an UK tablet based on product code XAB in the firmware. When they release the update for US version, you won't see anything as Samsung servers only detect the XAB instead of XAR for US tablets.

I see that some of you have received the update as far back as July. It's the 2nd week of September here in the Boston, USA area and nothing so far. A manual check for updates returns a "Already up to date" message and the tablet is on 4.4.2. What seems to be the process? Should I be expecting some day? Is there a way to "force" my way onto the update server?

Thanks
Brian

Tab Pro is still at Kitkat 4.4.2 NK1. only the UK has been update to Lollipop 5,1.1, OH4. The update in July is for Galaxy Note Pro, current is Lollipop 5.0.2 OH2. I think Tab Pro in US region will be updated soon.

Successfully flashed the lollipop firmware and everything is working great even if it is the UK labeled one. Samsung said there is nothing different between the US and the UK versions other than extra languages in the UK version. Very very nice. :)

Re: Android Lollipop - DISASTER SO FAR

I got the official US version of the Lollipop 5.1.1 update last night. All went normal during the install. However, the result was not good.

The Lollipop I know from my S5 phone and Nexus 7 tablet was there but running so slow that using it was awkward. Also, the display brightness is no longer adjustable and is fixed at something near 50%. All apps are slow to load. So slow that you think that the tablet is dead and then 15 seconds later up pops the app screen. I am quite often staring a blank black screen waiting for a response. Another symptom is that the weather wizard that sits in the middle of the home page takes 15-20 seconds to display any data after you turn on the the device and swipe to open the device. Widgets have disappeared from the device. If you touch the APPS button in the right lower corner the display no longer shows any widgets... just gone. The 'Google Search" Icon is missing as well on the home page... replaced by a new file explorer tool.

I use my Tab Pro quite often and I am desperate to find out what is wrong with this software.

Re: Android Lollipop - I found Brightness problem

Well after endless fiddling, I found the cause of the brightness being unresponsive. Samsung's version of Lollipop has "Automatic Brightness" defaulted to ON and the on/off control is hidden in plain sight on the new brightness control. So look for the check mark on the brightness control slide screen in settings.

I still have not found the widgets.
