My Galaxy tablet has frozen on a Facebook page. How can I get it off?

My Galaxy tablet has frozen on a facebook page.

It is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 5. I cannot turn the appliance off, as is suggested. I have left it on all night, but it hasn't powered down by itself, and I still cannot turn the tab off. Any suggestions, please?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it a Tab S? There is no Tab 5.

You can force a shutdown of any Android device by pressing and holding Power for about 15 seconds. Sometimes you have to hold it for longer.
