Can i receive calls on my galaxy watch if connected via Wifi and im far from my phone?

if my galaxy watch connected to the same wifi the my phone connected to, can i received the calls/answer or reject using my watch if im not near to my phone.

As far as I can tell, no. You used to be able to have your phone auto forward calls to your watch when it was on LTE, but Samsung got rid of that feature. Guessing they did so due to pressure from carriers who wanted to charge for number sync services that do the same thing.

I haven't used it yet but is supposed to keep them connected without a separate plan. You must have a Samsung account.

As far as I am aware, I got my watch from EE in the UK, and was informed that my phone must be switched on at home so that my watch can be used for calls etc. Not tried this as yet. Anyone any ideas?

No you cannot have calls thru wifi. The apple watch do have this feature

Text, emails, and notifications will work thru wifi if your phone is connected via wifi or cell data. Not calls... like someone said that feature wifi calling only works on the Apple watch.
