Anyone notice massive battery drain on their phone since setting up their Gear S3? I'm using a Galaxy S6. Never had battery issues before this....

Well it seemed like reinstalling the Gear app worked yesterday along with a "light" reset of the watch, but now again today my phone battery is draining too fast.

Is the com.Samsung.android.app draining the battery? I found it was the main culprit - using 40% of the battery. After reinstalling, it's only using 4-5%.

That's not showing up. In fact the only thing showing under battery is screen and Google app. It's weird.

I have the same issue. Some days it is worse than others. I do not know if it is definitely the gear app but the battery drain issues have only happened recently after I bought my gear s3.

S Health is destroying my battery. It keeps the phone awake A LOT. I installed it because it's one of the features of the Frontier, but man....

I did a factory reset on the watch, reinstalled the gear app on the phone, removed Facer and so far today I've been good. I have no idea what the problem is/was, just going to keep an eye on it. I honestly think my problem was using a Facer watch face. I believe it's not very optimized. Too bad because they have some nice faces. I'm not loving any of the ones on Galaxy app.

I had a massive power drain today that killed the watch by 445pm, off the charger at 640am. NO issues before. Today was different in that I installed a few different watch faces, and was using the gallery watch face for first time, that comes preinstalled. I'm going to uninstall the new watchfaces and stop using gallery face and see what happens.

Facer killed my watch battery. Can't use it until they optimize their app that runs on the watch.

Agreed. I just tried Facer again, still crappy battery optimization. Was making my phone run hot, battery drain and draining my watch to. Uninstalled.

I posted on their forum.. Hopefully they'll figure it out... (If it can be fixed)
