Mobile Data Always On Battery Life?

I have the AT&T S3 Frontier LTE and was wondering if there would be a significant battery drain if I left the mobile data set to always on. Comments?

My mobile data is set to always on and I took it off charger at 9 AM it is now 10:30 PM and still have 55 percent

I mean realistically it isn't pulling much data, so I wouldn't expect much of a drain. Your data works out to being a tad over a day on the battery. Not too bad.

Are you referring to keeping mobile network always on (vs off, auto) or just toggling mobile data specifically? The former definitely impacts battery life, I would expect the latter to have negligible effect by itself.
