I have Gear3 how to stop phone screen turning on

when making call or receiving call phone screen turns on and heats up in pocket
would be nice if the 3 gear is being used the phone screen would not come on at all

When someone dials your phone number, you don't want your phone to ring? Then put it in DND mode. Or airplane mode and turn on WiFi. Of course, if you want calls to come to the watch independently from your phone, you must have cellular service to the watch.

This would be a function of the phone rather than the watch. There would need to be an advanced option on the phone to not turn on the display when connected to a headset or something like that. I don't recall seeing that option on any phone that I've owned.

Like @afblangley said you need the LTE version so calls could go directly to the watch.
